A compter du lundi 8 novembre 2021, les voyageurs internationaux vaccinés – dont les citoyens européens – pourront à nouveau se rendre aux Etats-Unis. L’annonce de la levée des restrictions de voyage en place depuis plus de 18 mois a donné lieu, chez Air France, à une augmentation significative des réservations, particulièrement sur les lignes vers New York, Miami et Los Angeles, pour des voyages en novembre et lors des fêtes de fin d’année.
Afin d’accompagner la reprise du trafic transatlantique, Air France augmentera graduellement ses capacités au cours de la saison hiver. D’ici à la fin mars 2022, la compagnie prévoit de revenir à une offre correspondant à environ 90% de celle de 2019, contre 50% à l’été 2021.
Ceci passera notamment par l’ajout de fréquences sur certaines destinations, comme New York (passage de 3 à 5 vols quotidiens), Miami (passage de 7 à 12 vols par semaine) ou Los Angeles (passage de 12 à 17 vols par semaine). Sur cette période, Air France rouvrira également la liaison Paris-Charles de Gaulle – Seattle, suspendue depuis le début du COVID (3 vols par semaine à compter du 6 décembre), elle reprendra son itinéraire habituel pour la liaison Paris-Papeete, via Los Angeles (3 vols par semaine entre Los Angeles et Papeete à compter du 11 novembre 2021), et elle inaugurera une nouvelle liaison entre Pointe-à-Pitre et New York JFK (2 vols par semaine à compter du 24 novembre 2021).
Cet hiver, Air France desservira 11 destinations aux Etats-Unis : New York JFK – première escale internationale de la compagnie, Boston, Washington DC, Détroit, Atlanta, Chicago, Miami, Houston, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, avec jusqu’à 122 vols par semaine.

Les clients peuvent ainsi modifier1 leur réservation sans frais, ou obtenir un avoir remboursable2 s’ils ne souhaitent plus voyager.
L’engagement sanitaire d’Air France
La santé et le bien-être des clients et des personnels d’Air France sont au cœur des préoccupations de la compagnie. Air France s’engage à garantir à ses clients les meilleures conditions de sécurité sanitaire tout au long de leur voyage, dès leur arrivée à l’aéroport. À bord et pendant toute la durée du voyage, le port du masque chirurgical est obligatoire. En cabine, l’air est renouvelé toutes les 3 minutes. Le système de recyclage d’air des avions d’Air France est équipé de filtres HEPA -High Efficiency Particulate Air- identiques à ceux utilisés dans les blocs opératoires. Enfin, Air France a renforcé le nettoyage de ses avions avec notamment, avant chaque vol, la désinfection de toutes les surfaces en contact avec les clients tels que les accoudoirs, tablettes et écrans.
