La rencontre entre Alick Tipoti et Albert II à l'écran

La galerie Arts d'Australie * Stéphane Jacob a eu le plaisir d'être invitée à l'avant-première du film documentaire " Alick & Albert " en ouverture des 23èmes Rencontres internationales du Cinéma des Antipodes, à Saint-Tropez, en présence de S.A.S. le Prince Albert II de Monaco.
Ce documentaire met en avant la relation fraternelle qui s'est tissée entre Alick Tipoti, artiste du détroit de Torres, reconnu internationalement, et Albert II, autour notamment de leur réflexion sur l'écologie et la protection de l'Océan, qui relient ces deux hommes, d'un rocher à un autre.
Ce film s'inscrit dans la continuité du projet monégasque Taba Naba de 2016, où nous avions réalisé avec Alick Tipoti, "Sowlal", l'installation exceptionnelle d'une œuvre, sur la terrasse du Musée Océanographique de Monaco.
La galerie Arts d'Australie Stéphane Jacob tient à remercier Alick et Matini Tipoti, Suzanne O'Connell Commissaire adjointe de l'exposition, Michael & Di Kershaw, Ambassadeur Stephen Brady, Ambassadeur Brendan Berne, Robert Calcagno et les équipes du musée, ainsi que S.A.S. le Prince Albert II de Monaco, qui ont permis la concrétisation de ce projet spectaculaire.
Le voyage qui en a découlé a été rendu possible par le travail conjoint du Musee Océanographique et des Explorations de Monaco et trouve aujourd'hui la pérennisation de cette amitié dans ce film touchant et intime pour lequel nous tenons à féliciter l'œil sensible de sa réalisatrice Trish Dann.

The gallery Arts d'Australie * Stéphane Jacob was proud to be invited to the documentary film "Alick & Albert" preview at the opening of the 23rd Rencontres internationales du Cinéma des Antipodes", in Saint-Tropez, in the presence of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco.
This documentary highlights the fraternal relationship that has developed between Alick Tipoti, an internationally renowned artist from the Torres Strait, and Albert II, particularly around their ideas on the environment and more specifically the protection of the Ocean, which link these two men, from one rock to another.
This film is a continuation of Taba Naba, the Monegasque project that took place in 2016, where we created "Sowlal" with Alick Tipoti, an exceptional installation of one of his works on the terrace of the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco.
The gallery Arts d'Australie Stéphane Jacob would like to thank Alick and Matini Tipoti, Suzanne O'Connell Assistant Curator of the exhibition, Michael & Di Kershaw, Ambassador Stephen Brady, Ambassador Brendan Berne, Robert Calcagno and the museum staff, as well as H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, who enabled this spectacular project to take place.
The resulting journey was made possible by the joint work of the Oceanographic Museum and Monaco Explorations, and today finds the perpetuation of this friendship in this touching and intimate film for which we would like to congratulate its director Trish Dann's sensitive eye. *
