I Love Acid's resident Placid presents the first release of his label We're Going Deep, named after the famous group/forum of deep diggers. The VA includes legend Derek Carr, Dircsen, Acid maestro Tin Man and, last but not least, Posthuman!
Rather than staying too hung up on the past, the label's mission is to release new music for the dancefloor, the front room or even just for your headphones. If you've ever come across the We're Going Deep forum - you'll know all about the journey and the collective digging that goes deep into Acid, Electro, Techno, Deep House and even the odd foray into downtempo territory.
Kicking things off in style, this first VA consists of four tracks from brillant artists. First up, a legend in the 303 business, Tin Man drops an upfront acid production, while Derek Carr brings his own unique sound of warm detroit-esque techno, combined with catchy electronic hooks. On the flipside, close friend and fellow TB-303 enthusiast Posthuman delves deep into his box of tricks, keeping the acid to the bare minimum on his contribution, but providing a melancholic production led by beautiful morphing chords. Last but not least, Dircsen slows everything down and takes us on a journey of pure 303 bliss that will delight newcomers and old heads alike. This one last track is our favorite slice from the EP, and we are proud to share it with you exclusively.
Keep your eyes peeled for the release date, this one will be fast selling for sure. Available soon on Juno Records.
