Partie 2 - Les erreurs des entreprises dans product Manager

Le rôle du Chef de Marché – Partie 3 #1 Product Managers building products without a fundamental business model If your Product Manager cannot pull together an informed and rational model for product/service adoption with high level estimates, and explain the supporting reasons and assumptions, then that Product Manager is sinking precious capital into a sinkhole and you may very well fire her. Reason #2 Product Managers creating products without a transparent and evolving road-map If your Product Manager does not have an evolving product road-map, she is neglecting a great opportunity to build trust with internal stakeholders and customers alike. Reason #3 Product Managers who are frequently invisible in key decisions If your Product Manager is invisible in key meetings, avoids making decisions (or flip-flops on decisions made) and undermines any action taken in his/her absence without reason, then the team will lose trust in that Product Manager rendering him/her ineffective and so you may want to fire her. Reason #4 Product Managers not focused on solving customer problems If your Product Manager is not trying to solve customer's most pressing needs, wants, and desires through product development, and also not thinking how to uncover the needs, wants, and desires that customers didn't even know existed, then you can fire her. Reason #5 Product Managers who fail to unite the organization If your Product Manager is someone who doesn't have healthy relationships with key and relevant people across the different functions, or is incapable or aligning each function's goal with the success of the product, then she is putting that product (and team) at an increased risk of failure and hence you can fire her. Road-maps are frequently leveraged by internal stakeholders and product users for meaningful business decisions and if your Product Manager is not producing one, then you may want to fire her.
