Le Président Barry Rassin et son épouse Esther Rassin sont en visite officielle en Guadeloupe

C'est un événement rare que celui de la visite d'un Président du Rotary International. Qu'est-ce que la Guadeloupe peut gagner de cette visite sinon de faire avancer certains dossiers chers aux Rotariens d'ici. Un dossier parmi d'autre celui de la DREPANOCYTOSE. Voici un argumentaire inspiré et personnel.

It is a rare event to visit a president of Rotary International. What Guadeloupe can gain from this visit if not to advance certain issues dear to Rotarians from here. One of the files of the Sickle Celle deseas (drepanocytosis). Here is an inspiring and personal argument.

Le Président du Rotary international 2018-2019 aurait dû être Sam OWORI. Il aurait alors été le premier Africain et le premier Noir à présider le Rotary si la mort ne l'avait pas emporté. Cela aurait été une belle occasion de promouvoir l'action Drépano avec un Président forcément sensibilisé.

The President of Rotary International 2018-2019 should have been Sam OWORI. He would then have been the first African and the first black to chair Rotary if death had not prevailed. This would have been a great opportunity to promote Drépano action with a president who is necessarily sensitized.

Le destin aura voulu que le remplaçant de Sam OWORI soit un bahamien en la personne de Barry RASSIN un des nôtres pour ainsi dire puisque venant du district 7020 proche du notre 7030.

Fate will have wanted Sam OWORI's replacement to be a Bahamian in the person of Barry RASSIN one of ours so to speak since coming from District 7020 close to our 7030.

Les Bahamas subissent les mêmes outrages cycloniques que la Guadeloupe et sa population souffre aussi de la drépanocytose... Barry RASSIN n'ignore sans doute pas les actions menées dans son île par THE BAHAMAS SICKLE CELL ASSOCIATION. Comment ne le serait-il pas puisqu'il est un ancien administrateur de Centre Hospitalier.

The Bahamas suffer the same cyclonic outrage as Guadeloupe and its people also suffer from sickle cell anemia... Barry RASSIN is probably not aware of the actions taken on his island by the BAHAMAS sickle CELL ASSOCIATION. How could it not be because he is a former administrator of the hospital Centre.

Alors le Rotary International serait bien inspiré de reprendre le flambeau de la lutte contre la Drépanocytose, de renouveler l'accord historique avec l'UNESCO, de participer officiellement à la journée mondiale de lutte et de fédérer ainsi les centaines de clubs qui lutte déjà et trouveraient dans ce geste un formidable encouragement. Pour les District 7020 et 7030 ce serait formidable de travailler avec CAREST qui couvre toutes ces îles par de brillantes actions.

So Rotary International would be well inspired to take over the torch of the fight against sickle cell disease, renew the historic agreement with UNESCO, officially participate in World Wrestling Day and thus federate the hundreds of clubs Who is already struggling and would find in this gesture a formidable encouragement. For District 7020 and 7030 it would be great to work with CAREST ASSOCIATION that covers all these islands with brilliant actions.
