Last weekend I went to the Okura Prestige Bangkok to get a festive afternoon tea set again.
I already tried the Xmas & Yuki (snow) festive afternoon tea here.
Every time they think over the design and make a very colorful one, so every girl that visits there never stops taking pics, haha. This time I really had to try it because they serve a sakura (cherry blossom) afternoon tea right now!
When my friend Mega posted the photo on her Facebook, it immediately caught my eye.
Don’t worry — even if you’re not in Japan, you can still see sakura season here. It continues until the 30th of June, even through sakura season has already finished in Japan.

It’s all pink! The cutest afternoon tea ever.
They serve cherry sweets and some Japanese food. Even the scones have sakura on top. The flower is a bit wilted — similar to me under the Thai temperature now… Still, it’s so cute!

The normal set also has some sakura sweets. It’s very far from a typical English afternoon tea set, but if you feel tired of the typical style you should try it.
You can feel a fusion of Japanese and Western tastes. I know it’s one of the most “craziest” afternoon tea places in Bangkok — that’s why I love it!

先週、またまたオークラプレステージバンコク のアフタヌーンティーへ行ってきました。
だってね期間限定のアフタヌーンティーセットが桜なんですもの～。
すべてのお菓子がピンクなの。もうかわいくってかわいくって。
お友達のMegaがSNSの写真を投稿した5分後には予約を入れました。
そんなMegaちゃん、2回目の桜アフタヌーンティーにも快く付き合ってくれました。うれし。
前回の雪アフタヌーンティーも可愛かったけど、今回もとびっきりの可愛さ。
どのテーブルの女の子たちもずーっと写真を撮り続けていて、
私のお友達も1つ1つのスイーツの写真はもちろん、1口だけ食べてはその中身の写真まで撮っていました。
通常のセットにも少し桜スイーツが入っていました。
ジャパニーズを前面に押し出しているアフタヌーンティーですが、味は少し外国人用にアレンジされているように感じます。
たとえば大福っぽいおもちの中身がチェリー系のクリームとホイップクリームだったり。
スコーンにも桜の塩漬けが乗っています。
まるで35度の灼熱タイランドで暑さに滅入る日本人のよう。
いや、そんなことないです。
この桜アフタヌーンティーは6月30日までやっているようなので、まだまだ大丈夫。
私も第2ラウンド全然OKなので、桜女子会はいかがでしょうか。
