Babies est un mélange de tous ces styles.
Formé en 1987, à Nässjö (en
Suède), le groupe ne sort son premier LP Diesel & Power qu’en 1994 avant que
leur guitariste s’en aille rejoindre son autre groupe : les Hellacopters.
Ce n’est donc qu’en 1997 que le groupe se manifeste avec Total 13 et sort ensuite Making
ennemies is good puis Stockholm Syndrome et People Like People
Like People Like Us.
Et si Backyard Babies n’échappe pas aux clichés
habituels des groupes de glam (look, tatouages, attitude cocaïnée, pin-up…), leur
musique est plutôt sympathique : avec eux, pas de prise de tête, les grosses
guitares en avant et on envoie la sauce !
