Pokertek annonce la mise en place de 12 tables de poker électroniques Trump Plaza Casino. En fait sur le site ils annoncent des partenariats avec pas mal de casinos. Alors le développement de ce genre de tables commence à réellement se faire ressentir ?
Oui il semble que ce soit parti. Il y a un facteur qui ne trompe pas: les deux "inventeurs" de ces tables se disputent actuellement la paternité à coups de procès.
Bref les tables de poker quels avantages ? en y réfléchissant bien je n'en vois aucun niveau convivialité mais sur le plan financier, l'avantage est certain.
Le rake sera moins important, la table étant rapidement rentabilisée, mais il y a aussi un avantage encore plus important à mon sens: la possibilité pour les casinos grâce à ces tables de proposer de nouveau style de jeu (par exemple Omaha HL) qui ne serait pas rentable avec des coûts fixes croupier et aussi des limites plus basses…
L’automatisation n’aura du bon qu’à ce niveau là car pour le reste je n’irai pas au casino pour jouer sur des machines, je resterai chez moi tranquillement sur mon PC…

Trump Plaza plans trial for PokerTek tables

MATTHEWS, N.C. — PokerTek is going to the Boardwalk.
The company, which makes automated poker tables and related software, has signed a contract with Trump Plaza Casino for a 12-table poker room.
PokerTek Chief Executive Officer Chris Halligan called the agreement a “significant milestone” for the company. PokerTek and the Trump casino described the room as a “field test.”
The agreement still must be approved by New Jersey officials. If approved, the automated poker room would be the first in the state.
“The poker room at Trump Plaza is going to be a poker player’s paradise,” said Jim Rigot, general manager for Trump Plaza Casino. “In addition to opening with a reduced $3 rake, our state-of-the-art poker room will have competitive game offerings, flat screens throughout, a comfortable lounge with convenient food and beverage offerings and blackjack tables. And when you consider the increased hands per hour and mistake-free play, it becomes an obvious choice for even the most seasoned players.”
PokerTek tables are already in use on various cruise ships and in casinos around the U.S. as well as Canada, Macau, Panama, Germany, Australia and South Africa.
