Le manteau oversize

Bonjour, vous l’avez remarqué et ressenti, le froid est de retour… ce qui implique d’adapter nos manteaux! Pour surmonter ce temps, j’ai opté pour le manteau XL ou oversize. Par oversize, j’entends ces grandes pièces qu’on croirait toutes droites sorties d’un vestiaire masculin. Ces manteaux particulièrement larges ne sont pas cintrés au niveau de la taille et ont des épaules arrondies. La coupe parfaite pour se blottir dedans, oui j’aime les manteaux cocooning!

Autant ce type de manteau est confortable et tendance, autant il faut savoir le coupler avec le reste de sa tenue pour ne pas ressembler à un bibendum…J’ai fait le pari osé de le porter avec un jean boyfriend qui ajoute encore plus de volume mais j’ai équilibré cette silhouette large avec un col roulé moulant et en laissant apparaître un peu de jambettes grâce aux escarpins.. Sinon avec cette pièce XL, j’aime aussi porter des bottines hautes et des pantalons slim.

J’ai reçu beaucoup de compliments sur ce manteau Soft Grey commandé sur le site de La Redoute, je dois avouer qu’il rend encore mieux en vrai que sur certaines des photos. J’apprécie particulièrement la matière effet laine bouillie qui le rend encore plus doux. Vous remarquerez aussi que mon sac Rebecca Minkoff est tout aussi moderne porté en pochette!

The oversize coat

Hi ! You’ve probably noticed and surely felt it if you’re living in Paris or Europe, the cold weather is back… So it’s time to change coats ! To brave the weather, I’ve opted for the extra large or oversized coat. By oversize I mean those big garments that seem to have been taken from a man’s closet.  Oversize coats are particularly wide as they aren’t belted around the waist and have rather curved shoulders. The perfect cut to snuggle in. Yes, I love cocoon coats !

As much as these kinds of coats are comfortable and trendy, you still need to find out how to pair them with the rest of your outfit as not to look too podgy. I was rather daring wearing mine with boyfriend jeans that add even more volume, but I balanced things out with a slinky turtleneck and stilettos that revealed  thinner ankles. Otherwise, I usually  like to wear my XL coat with high booties and slim pants.

I received many questions about my Soft Grey coat ordered on the La Redoute website. I must say that the coat looks even better in real life than on certain pictures. I particularly love the wool effect material that makes the coat so soft. You’ll also notice that the Rebecca Minkoff bag looks just as modern worn as a clutch.
