Trois ans après 'Safari Disco Club', la plus américaine des chanteuses françaises nous livre une pop électrisante avec des textes affutés, et toujours cette énergie positive qui est fait marque de fabrique.Produit entre Saint-Brieuc, sa ville d'origine et Los Angeles, l'album est le fruit d'une collaboration avec l'américain Dr Luke qui a notamment produit Katy Perry.Le clip met à l'honneur le voguing, un mouvement de danse très présent dans la culture gay new-yorkaise des années 70-80, qui puise son inspiration dans les poses prises par les mannequins du magazine Vogue.Yelle n'hésite pas à jouer avec les tendances de mode, avec une ambiance tout en couleurs primaires, des matières vinyles, transparentes et effet dégradé, des accessoires futuristes et des maquillages flashy. My latest musical crush is Yelle, who's back in all her glory with a new album called 'Complètement Fou', or Completely Insane ! Three years after 'Safari Disco Club' came out, the most American of French singers delivers an electrifying pop album with sharp, edgy lyrics, and always the same positive energy that we've come to expect from her music. Produced in Saint-Brieuc, France and Los Angeles, the album is the fruit of a collaboration with the American producer Dr. Luke who also produced Katy Perry's album. The music video for the title track is an hommage to voguing, a movement that was very present in American gay culture in the 1970s-80s. The mainly person-of-color centered movement took its inspiration from the poses that models in the magazine Vogue took on for photoshoots. Yelle doesn't hesitate to play with fashion trends, with a primary-color-centered ambiance, as well as vinyl materials, transparent fabrics, and tie-dye.
