By all means, surfing has turned out to be a ‘thing’ in Paris. Couldn’t resist not checking out the real deal and adding the Sojeans stamp to it.
So what’s this all about? Besides the cool kids conquering the streets with their cruiser skateboards, imagine a 3000m2 venue (Le Carreau du Temple at Le Marais in Paris) embracing the fun, rebellious, wild, free and creative spirit of the surf culture for a whole weekend.
Long story cut short, the BrunchBazar was created in 2010 by Nadège Winter, the ex communications director of Palais de Tokyo and Colette concept store, and has become a huge pop-up welcoming from kids, to families through the biggest party lovers turning from playground to a club.Having said that, the venue was amazing. Just imagine entering to an island with the coolest food trucks, nail trucks (yes, you could get your nails done on a surf board!), surf simulators, games, bands, hair saloons á la surf style and most important: The ModeBazar with tons of laidback and original pieces. Didn’t even take me 5 seconds to spot Petit Bateau, big time love. (Check out our selection HERE)
Overall, with the cool vibes in the air, speaking to strangers was like catching up with your old time buddies about whodidwhat last night. A totally easygoing crowd gathered in one of the boldest spots in the city an definitely a MUST for the next time.
