Two years have passed since Antennas released Sins, their debut album. A record not totally brilliant from the first song to the last one, but with several great songs such as Always on my mind, Gonna get it right, Adapt! or C'mon. It was obvious that they knew how to write pop songs with great melodies and that Christian Björkman, the singer, had a quite unusual voice.
According to Lies, the first single of their second album Feeling feline tonight (planned to be released late August), those two qualities remain. Some evolutions ? The major one is the electro music background. They used to be pop, now they are electro-pop.
Lies is gonna be released in three days. To me, it is a kind of a gay gospel that could be played in every club of Copacabana, when the audience is high on drugs.

Deux années se sont écoulées depuis qu'Antennas a sorti Sins, leur premier disque. Un disque pas tout à fait réussi de bout en bout, mais avec pas mal de bons morceaux comme Always on my mind, Gonna get it right, Adapt! ou C'mon. A l'époque, une évidence : ces gars savaient s'y prendre pour cuisiner des chansons pop aux petits oignons et Christian Björkman, le chanteur du groupe, disposait d'une voix étonnante.
A écouter Lies, le premier single de leur deuxième album Feeling feline tonight (sortie prévue fin août), ces deux qualités demeurent. Des évolutions ? En premier lieu, une nouvelle ambiance électro. Ils étaient pop, ils sont désormais électro-pop.
Lies sortira dans trois jours. Selon moi, il s'agit d'un gospel gay qui pourrait être joué dans n'importe quelle boîte de Copacabana, devant un public gavé de champignons hallucinogènes.
