L'hybridation de Platanthera Chlorantha (Orchis verdâtre) avec Platanthera bifolia (Orchis à deux feuilles) rend délicate l'identification certaine des formes pures de la première. Il existe en effet toute une série d'hybrides intermédiaires entre les deux espèces avec des loges polliniques plus ou moins rapprochées ou plus ou moins divergentes. Une Platanthère à loges polliniques divergentes peut être soit une Platanthera Chlorantha soit un hybride P. chlorantha x P. bifolia (Platanthera x hybrida).
