Ingredients: 5 croissants - 15cl water - 120g caster sugar - 1 egg - 60g ground almonds - 30g butter - 2 tbsp slivered almonds - icing sugarRoughly tear the croissants into pieces Butter a loaf pan.
Pour water and 60g of sugar in a saucepan and heat to melt the sugar.
Whisk the egg and 60g caster sugar. Add the almond powder and mix.
Add the melted butter and mix.
Put a layer of croissants in the mold. Tamp a bit.
Sprinkle with 3 tablespoons syrup and half of the almond cream.
Add the remaining croissants. Sprinkle again with 3 tablespoons syrup and the remaining cream.
Sprinkle the almonds.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about fifteen minutes.
Remove from oven and sprinkle with 3 cases of syrup.
Sprinkle with icing sugar.
