Eiffel Tower Project.

In celebration of the 120th birthday of the tower, the Société d’Exploitation de la Tour Eiffel decided to restructure the public reception and access areas of the tower.
in order to increase the quality of the access of the public as well as experiencing the fantastic 360 degrees sight of Paris a project created by a team of architects : Serero propose to built a temporary horizontal extension of the third floor of the tower.
I like this very daring project because it is temporary. To modify such a monument will not be done without debating and certainly with a strong opposition. But this audacity will give a good overhaul of Paris.
Unfortunately this project will not be realized. Serero has won the competition for the design of public spaces at the foot of the Eiffel Tower. It seems that they have taken the opportunity to announce this project, which at least succeeded to speak about them.

Pour le 120° anniversaire de la tour, la Société d’Exploitation de la Tour Eiffel, a décidé de restructurer l’accès et la réception du public aux alentours de la tour.
Pour améliorer la qualité de l’accès du public et en plus profiter pleinement de la vue magnifique de 360° de Paris, un groupe d’architecte : Serero a conçu un projet de construction d’une extension du 3° étage de la tour.
Ce projet très audacieux me plait car il est temporaire. Modifier un tel monument ne se ferait pas sans débat et certainement avec une forte opposition. Mais cette audace donnerait un sacré coup de jeune à Paris.
Malheureusement ce projet ne verra pas le jour. Serero a bien remporté le concours pour l’aménagement des espaces publics aux pieds de la Tour Eiffel. Il semble qu’ils en ont profité pour annoncer ce projet qui réussi au moins à faire parler d’eux.
