Brand new playlist of recent Deep-House tracks I felt in love with. This one contains only extra-quality tunes from the past weeks and even some free downloads for you. The playlist includes artists such as Sasha Robotti (also known as Robosonic), Niconé & Sascha Braemer, Chris James, Doctor Dru, Pablo Bolivar, Marc DePulse, Last Magpie and Chris Malinchak. I hope you’ll enjoy it!
We start strong with an amazing track produced by Marc DePulse, released by Yippiee Records, the label of the Hanover-based DJs, Filtertypen. « Westbalkon » is a breathtaking, highly-emotional song. It starts with a good beat that slowly falls down to let appear a dark, melancholic and beautiful piano melody backed by vocals from Boe – in German, please – while the kick-off is brought by sharp pads and strong snares. The EP features an instrumental version and a good remix from Alex Q. Go grab it on Beatport.
I’m starting to think that Sacha Robotti might be one of the most talented artist on the actual scene. When I see the great variety of styles he’s of providing us, from tracks such as « Worst Love » on OFF Recordings under his moniker Robosonic, to the type of song you are just about to listen to, I’m really impressed by his work. On « Baldeelocks », he proposes us a great melodic House anthem with a multiple-layered synths composition and huge sub-basslines, wrapped-up with a simple, but strong drums pattern. His « Big Ol EP » is now available on Beatport too, released by Klasse Recordings.
Talking about Robosonic, here is the brand new remix of Doctor Dru, following his amazing remix of « Worst Love ». I actually could say the same things about Doctor Dru because, you’ve got to admit it: everything he touches is changed to gold. So… no surprises here: his remix is the best track of the new EP from newcomer Sidney Charles on Jeudi Records. He’s turning the original tune into a dark House ballad from which you’ll never return. The « Don’t Go EP » is now available on vinyl.
First freebie for you! French Express Records is giving away this great House tune full of happiness from Chris Malinchak. No more words, just listen to it… and download it.
Pablo Bolivar is confirming again is great talent with this new remix of Martin Patino, out now on the ‘cats-addicted’, Barcelona-based label Suara Music. Starting as a basic House track with a simple beat, the song is slightly morfing into a Deep and Jazzy piece of music. The remix is available on the « Mindgames Remixes EP », alongside Ian Pooley and Andrea Oliva’s reinterprations.
Great release on Hypercolour with the second EP from Last Magpie. On « Where Love Goes », the Leeds-based producer gives us a catchy and dusty hybrid Garage/House track. We really loved the looped backing-vocals, in perfect timing with the piano keys. Special mention to the sampled, girly leading-vocals that creates some sort of a « groovy » attitude. Good work! Buy the EP on Junodownload.
Aaaannnd another Freebie for you! Niconé & Sascha Braemer are keeping up the good vibes with this track, lead by a guitar melody and featuring some great vocals on the break, reminding me of the blasting track from Wankelmut « One Day ». Download it, it’s free!
Last track of this selection is taken from the new release by Chris James on Gruuv Recordings. My favourite on this one is « Song For Her », featuring Ria Moran, on which Chris James creates a nostalgic and emotional atmosphere, driven by a nice and smooth synths composition, supported by strong kicks and a dynamic beat. Don’t forget to check « Break Ups No Make Ups » too, it features some Bashmore-esque influences that I’m sure you’ll die for. Released October 15th on Beatport. Keep up the good vibes, Antwan Shalom.
