First, why this name ? Antwon (Antoine) got a french connotation…

my real name is antonio and yes its is a the french verson! im glad you noticed and it was actually the french who figured that. i have a very big place in my heart for france. ive always wanted to visit the countryside and PARIS is number one in my future travel plans. i want to live in PARIS someday.

Premièrement, pourquoi ce nom? Antwon (Antoine) ca semble être plutôt français.

mon vrai nom est Antonio et oui antwon en est la verson francaise. j’ai une très forte estime pour la France. J’ai toujours voulu visiter la campagne francaise et PARIS, ca sera surement mon prochain voyage. je veux vivre à Paris un jour.

Who is Cornelius Jones?

cornelius jones was the name i went by before. it was the name of someone i knew before who did theater but from first glance you would not have guessed he did. i wanted that name because i thought it was important to me to remember that normal people can always do out of character things and be amazing and go past peoples first impressions.

Qui est Cornelius Jones?

cornelius Jones était mon ancien blaze. c’était le nom de quelqu’un que je connaissais qui faisait du théâtre, mais de prime abord vous n’auriez pas deviné qui il était. j’ai choisi ce nom car je pensais que c’était important de rappeler que les gens normaux peuvent faire de grande choses et être fantastique.

after doing the cornelius jones stuff i stopped rapping and focused playing in bands. i started playing in a twee pop band in san jose but was forced to leave by a very controlling and over bearing person. i then started playing in a hardcore punk band in philly called « leather » i spent most of my money i saved and couldnt find work so i had to move back to san jose. I started rap and i recorded that famous mixtape.

Nous t’avons découvert avec Fantasy Beds Mixtape, peux tu nous en dire plus à ce sujet?

après avoir fait des sons sous le nom de cornelius jones je me suis arrêté de rapper et j’ai jouer dans des groupes. J’ai commencé à jouer dans un groupe de pop à San José, mais j’ai stoppé ca assez vite a cause d’une entente difficile entre les membres. J’ai alors integré un groupe punk hardcore a Philly appelé « leather », Je passai mon temps a depensé l’argent que j’avais économisé et je n’arrivait pas à trouver du travail. Je suis donc revenu à San José, j’ai repris le rap et j’ai sorti cette fameuse mixtape.

BRANDON TAUSZIK dude is genius very chill dude and has some stragne ideas on paper but the way he excutes them BRILLIANT

BRANDON TAUSZIK, c’est un mec génial et très intelligent. C’est lui qui a eu la fameuse idée de vieillir la video et d’y integré Bullit.

What’s your musical background, tell us more about your influences..

most things i listen to are very moody i dont always listen to rap or hip hop all the but i dont like jus listening to one thing.
lately i been into skinny puppy, B L A C K I E, pictureplane, dizzee rascal, and antioch arrow. i like alot of punk stuff. post punk and then like power pop stuff, lots of 77, uk82, and intl hc stuff . i love cocteau twins and depeche mode if i could see either live i could die happy.

Quel est votre parcours musical, nous en dire plus sur tes influences ..

la plupart des choses que j’écoute sont très morose, je n’ai pas toujours écouter du rap. Dernièrement, j’ecoutes Skinny Puppy, BLACKIE, Pictureplane, Dizzee Rascal, et Antioch arrow. j’aime beaucoup le punk rock et la power pop, comme 77, uk82 et intl hc trucs. J’aime aussi Cocteau Twins et Depeche Mode, je pourais mourir heureux quand je les aurais vu.

Any new projects coming out? Are you working on new music videos?

yeah i got my next album « end of earth » coming out on dream collabo this summer of 2012. dj bad slorp got a project with mostly me one it its called « enter the jeep » also opski chan and himself the majestic and some others. me and bad slorp have a follow up to my west side horizon i think the actual physical release is comign out in paris so if you fuck with me the lovely france get my tape!

Des nouveaux projets a venir? Travailles tu sur des nouveaux clips?

ouais je sors mon prochain album « end of earth » dans le courant de cet été. dj bad slorp sort un projet  appelé « enter the jeep » avec moi et Opski Chan. Ca devrait bientôt sortir, alors si vous aimez ce que je fais venez chopper mes tapes.

Do you want make a show and a video clip in Paris like Waka Flocka or Asap Rocky?  You will be First west coast  rapper to make that in 21th century…

waka was in paris? thas tight! id like to film something sick like mark gonzales did. PARIS SERIOUSLY LOOKS LIKE A CITY ID FALL IN LOVE WITH so if i ever came them which is seriously first on my list. then i may not leave.

Veux tu faire un concert et un clip à Paris comme Waka Flocka ou Asap Rocky? Tu seras d’ailleurs le premier rappeur de la cote est à le faire au 21e siècle …

waka était à Paris? c’est frais! J’ai envie de faire un clip de malade comme Mark Gonzales a fait. Paris est une ville dont je suis tomber amoureux, si j’ai un jour la chance de venir je ne la laisserai pas passer.
