The Sound of arrows is the new band signed by Labrador.
This post could end here since being signed on Labrador is an event on itself. However, SOA has something that many Labrador bands do not have : the fun. Cause, very often, they sound sweet, nice and kind of melancholic but, how about the entertaining part ? Pop music has to entertain, right ?
The Sound of Arrows is a duo of two young guys, Stefan Storm and Oskar Gullstrand, who have just passed their 20 years old. According to Labrador, they form "the band that will lead Swedish pop into the next decade". I'm not too sure to know what this means. What I can say at least is that Danger!, the first single of SOA, is a good pop song. Promising and entertaining.
PS : this song is taken from the upcoming Danger! EP due to be released on the 7th of May. A full album is expected for the fall of 2008.

The Sound of arrows est le dernier groupe signé chez Labrador.

Ce billet pourrait s’arrêtait là tant une nouvelle signature de Labrador est un événement en tant que tel. Mais SOA dispose d’une qualité que peu de groupes signés sur ce label possèdent : le fun. Parce que bien souvent, leur son est doux, mélodique et mélancolique, mais pour ce qui est du divertissement, bof, bof. Pourtant, toute chanson pop doit divertir, non ?

The Sound of Arrows est un duo formé par deux jeunes gens, Stefan Storm et Oskar Gullstrand, qui viennent tout juste d'avoir 20 ans. Selon Labrador, ils constituent "le groupe qui va faire entrer la pop suédoise dans la prochaine décennie". Je ne suis pas trop sûr de savoir ce que cela signifie. En tout cas, Danger!, leur premier single, est une bonne chanson pop. Prometteuse et divertissante.
PS : ce morceau est tiré du Danger! EP qui sortira le 7 mai prochain. Un album est prévu pour l'automne 2008.
