Le «niveau 4» est un indicateur de complot en vue de distribuer plus de cinq kilos. Busy Signal est accusé d'avoir volontairement enlevé son bracelet électronique à la cheville, et pris la fuite avant de connaître sa sentence. La police jamaïcaine a déclaré hier soir que Busy Signal était placé sous surveillance depuis plusieurs années.
En attendant, Busy Signal devra comparaître devant le tribunal le jeudi 24 mai, afin de faciliter le processus d'extradition. Depuis son retour précipité en Jamaïque (2002), Busy Signal n'était plus en possession de son visa américain, ce qui n'a pas empêché l'artiste de se produire régulièrement en Europe et dans les Caraïbes.En 2007, Busy Signal avait publié le titre autobiographique "Jail", un souvenir sinistre de son incarcération dans les années 2000..
Dans une interview, l'artiste revenait sur cette époque de sa vie: " A la fin de mon adolescence, en l'an 2000, je me déplaçais dans différents états, le Connecticut, la Floride, Boston, New York et le Texas, beaucoup de choses viennent de la rue, des choses qui font perdre notre vie d'adolescent. Je suis entré en conflit avec la loi pour différents types d'infractions et j'ai été privé de liberté une fois sur une accusation de complot, puis libéré après le paiement d'une caution. Après ceci, j'ai juste voulu faire de la musique . Je ne voulais plus de malentendu, de confusion. Puis je suis venu en Jamaïque et je n'ai jamais essayé de retourner aux États-Unis depuis. Pour moi ça marche et la musique a donné un autre sens à ma vie "
