Le Rouge et le Noir

Quand nous avons acheté la maison, nous avons rapidement acquis une vrai table. Pour les chaises nous nous sommes longtemps contentés de chaises pliantes et de tabourets. Mais il y a quelques mois j'ai trouvé deux chaises d'occasion a Habitat for Humanity et j'ai décidé de me lancer dans un nouveau projet.
When we bought the house, we quickly got a real table. However for quite some time we managed with the folding chairs and stools we already had. But a few months ago I found some thrifted chairs at Habitat for Humanity and decided to work on a new project. L'inspiration viens de là:

Des chaises disparates unies par une même couleur. Cote couleur j’hésitais, soit du bleu soit du rouge. J'ai fini par choisir le rouge Roasted Pepper de Behr. Le même que le meuble a DVD que m'avait fait une collègue.
La première étape fut de poncer et nettoyer les chaises.
Mismatched chairs united by a same color. Color wise I hesitated, either blue or red. In the end I went for the Roasted Pepper by Behr. The same as the DVD tower a friend of mine made us. The first step was to sand and clean the chairs.

Ensuite j'ai attaque la peinture. La chaise plus sombre donnait déjà bien avec une simple couche de peinture Pas besoin de sous-couche car elle est incluse dans le type de peinture que j'ai acheté. Par contre la chaise blanche aura eu besoin de trois couches.
Then I worked on the paint. The darker chairs took the paint really well and already looked good with one coat, I did two anyway. No need for a primer since it's already in the paint. However the white chair needed a third coat.

On a aussi acheté une chaise a Ikea. Je pensais la peindre elle aussi en rouge, mais je me dit maintenant que ça ferrait peut être trop. Du coup je crois qu'on va plutôt faire un effet rouge et noir, de toute façon la table est noire.
We also got a chair at Ikea. I was thinking of painting it red too, but now I think it might be too much. So we might go for a black and red theme since the table is black anyway.
Vous en pensez quoi? Je garde la troisième chaise noire ou je la peint?
