Dans le long métrage Zorro Reborn, le rôle du justicier sera interprété par Gael Garcia Bernal. Le nom du réalisateur est inconnu.
Dans ce nouveau projet, Zorro sera un vengeur masqué.
L’intrigue se déroulerait dans un futur post-apocalyptique, loin des traditionnelles ambiances de western.
