Le designer belge Sylvain Willenz nous présente sa collection de miroirs nommée Ring et Loop, un jeu de reflets, de couleurs et de matières…
Tel un cadre de tableau, pour une mise en valeur de l’image, le pourtour est ingénieusement coloré par un procédé spécifique permettant à l’ensemble de garder une unicité. L’argenture et la couleur sont appliquées à l’arrière de la vitre, permettant que les zones colorées réfléchissent également.
L’explication du designer :
“Ring & Loop mirrors are a new addition to the SWS collection and are exclusively available through the SWS online shop. Playing on the graphic qualities of form and graphics, the mirrors create a striking and eye-catching focal point. Despite its unusually thick border and the narrow silvered area, Ring & Loop function perfectly as mirrors. Surprisingly, one’s upper body is well framed and visible in the silvered area, whether from close up, or from a distance. The technical beauty of these mirrors lies in that both the silvering and the colour are applied to the back of the glass, hence the reflection also in the coloured border. Hand crafted in Brussels with utmost skill from a single sheet of 4mm glass.“
