Après sept mois de préparation, LIBALEL, projet de webdocumentaire dédié à la jeune scène artistique libanaise pose ses valises à Beyrouth ! L’occasion de vous présenter le chemin déjà parcouru et celui qu’il reste à tracer.
Ces sept premiers mois de travail ont été ceux d’un important travail d’exploration de la scène artistique libanaise. Pour questionner la teneur des pratiques artistiques contemporaines au Liban, nous avons échangé et rencontré des acteurs culturels, des chercheurs et des artistes. Cette recherche nous a permis d’affiner notre démarche, de mieux penser l’écriture du webdocumentaire et d’en préciser les enjeux.
À partir de cela, nous avons créé et enrichi le blog consacré au projet, où vous avez pu découvrir nos premières interviews d’artistes, partager nos lectures, suivre nos recherches et naviguer au gré de nos découvertes.
Cela a aussi été une phase de recherche de partenaires, indispensable au développement du projet. LIBALEL est aujourd’hui soutenu au Liban par l’Institut d’Etudes Scéniques, Audiovisuelles et cinématographiques à Beyrouth et en France par le Conseil Général du Val-de-Marne, la municipalité de Paris et l’Office du Tourisme du Liban en France.
C’est une nouvelle étape !
Du 20 juillet au 23 août 2011, nous serons au Liban, à Beyrouth principalement mais aussi ailleurs, pour notre première période de réalisation. Un important et passionnant programme de rencontres nous attend. D’une autre manière, nous poursuivrons donc notre exploration.
Les portraits seront une invitation à réfléchir à la manière dont ces jeunes artistes font vivre des espaces d’expérimentations artistiques singuliers, notamment à travers la mobilisation d’histoires personnelles et un questionnement critique. Nous interrogerons leurs manières de se saisir d’une réalité en tension et de la retravailler par l’imaginaire et la représentation.
Pensé comme un espace collaboratif et participatif, LIBALEL est basé sur le bénévolat et vise à rassembler diverses compétences propres à enrichir le projet. Il y a mille façons de nous aider: participation au contenu du blog, aide à la réalisation et à la post-production du webdocumentaire, traduction… N’hésitez pas à nous contacter pour en parler!

Ce n’est pas la dernière étape!
Une deuxième période de réalisation est prévue en décembre-janvier prochain et nous nous consacrerons ensuite au travail de post-production. Pour la suite, LIBALEL est toujours à la recherche de partenaires : pour le financement de la post-production, pour le matériel technique, pour la diffusion et la communication du webdocumentaire.

After seven months of preparation, LIBALEL, a web documentary project dedicated to the young Lebanese art scene, is landing in Beirut! We would like to take this opportunity to show you what has already been achieved and what’s left to do.
These first seven months of work involved an important work of exploring the art scene in Lebanon. To question the content of contemporary art practices in Lebanon, we met cultural actors, scientists and artists and shared information with them. This research has allowed us to refine our approach, to have a better conception of the writing of the web documentary and to clarify the issues at stake.
From this, we created and enriched the blog devoted to the project, where you saw our first interviews with artists, shared our reading, followed our research and browse according to our findings.
It has also been a phase of looking for partners, who are essential to the development of the project. LIBALEL is now supported in Lebanon by the French Cultural Centre and the Institute for Scenic and Audio-Visual Studies in Beirut and in France by the General Council of Val de Marne, the City of Paris and the Office Tourism of Lebanon in France.
This is a new stage!
From July 20 to August 23 2011, we will be in Lebanon, mainly in Beirut but in other places for our first period of shooting. An important and exciting program of meetings is ahead of us. Therefore, we will continue our exploration alternatively.
The portraits will be an invitation to reflect on how these young artists give life to singular artistic experimentation spaces, notably through the collection of personal stories and through critical questioning. We will question their ways of capturing a tense reality and reworking it through imagination and representation.
LIBALEL has been conceived as a collaborative and participatory space and is based on volunteering and aims to bring together various skills to enrich the project. There are a thousand ways to help: participating in the blog content, helping with the production and the post-production of the web documentary and translating. This is not the last stage!
A second period of shooting is planned for next December and January. Then we will focus on the post-production work. For the rest, LIBALEL is always looking for partners to finance post-production, to provide technical equipment and to the broadcast and promote the web documentary.

بعد سبعة أشهر من التحضيرات، ها أنّ ليباليل LIBALEL ، مشروع وثائقي-ويب متمحور حول جيل الشباب من الفنانين في لبنان، يحطّ أخيراً في بيروت! في هذا السياق، نغتنم المناسبة لنعرض عليكم ما سبق أن أنجزناه وما يتبقى من عمل علينا
القيام به.مثلّت السبعة أشهر الأولى محطّة مهمّة من ناحية البحث واستكشاف الساحة الفنية اللبنانية. للوقوف على فحوى الممارسات الفنية المعاصرة في لبنان، تعرّفنا وقابلنا وحاورنا لاعبين على الساحة الفنية ، إضافة الى باحثين في هذا المضمار والفنانين أنفسهم. مكّنتنا هذه العملية من تحسين منهجية عملنا والتمعّن في كتابتنا للوثائقي – الويب و تحديد خيوطه.
إنطلاقاً من هنا، أنشأنا مدوّنة خصصناها للمشروع، وشرعنا بإغنائها شيئاً فشيئاً وقد اطلعتم على المقابلات التي أجريناها مع الفنانين وشاركتمونا قراءاتنا كما تابعتم دراساتنا وتصفحتم واستعرضتم إكتشافاتنا.
كما شكّلت هذه الحقبة، فترة بحث عن شركاء وهي مسألةٌ لا بدّ منها في مسار تطوّر المشروع. ليباليل اليوم، مدعومٌ من المركز الثقافي الفرنسي ومعهد الدراسات المسرحية والسمعية والبصرية والسينمائية في جامعة القديس يوسف في بيروت إضافة الى المجلس العام لمقاطعة فال دو مارن وبلدية باريس ومكتب السياحة اللبناني في فرنسا.
نحو مرحلةِ جديدة؟
سنتواجد في لبنان من 20 تموز – يوليو الى 23 آب – أغسطس 2011 لإنجاز المرحلة الأولى من مشروعنا. كما بانتظارنا جدول عملٍ مكوّنٌ من لقاءاتٍ شيقة وهامة.إذاً وبطريقةٍ ما، ما زلنا مستمرّين في عملنا الإستكشافي الآنف.
تشكّل التقارير دعوة للتأمّل في الطريقة التي يقوم بها هؤلاء الفنانين الشباب بخلق مساحات تجارب فنية خاصة عبر تجنيد قصص وتجارب شخصية ومساءلة نقدية. سنسألهم عن طريقتهم في معالجة الواقع الصعب وإعادة صياغته بالخيال والتصوير.
كونه مساحة تعاون ومشاركة، إنّ ليباليل مبني على العمل التطوعي ويهدف إلى جمع مختلف المهارات التي من شأنها إغناء المشروع. هناك ألف طريقة لمساعدتنا، سواء عبر المساهمة في مضمون المدوّنة أم في تنفيذ الوثائقي –الويب وحتى مرحلة ما بعد الإنتاج أو ما يعرف بال post-production، أو من خلال الترجمة. إن كنتم مهتمين بالمساهمة في هذا المشروع، لا تترددوا في التواصل معنا!
كما أننا نرغب في شكر جميع الأشخاص الذين تابعونا وساندونا ووجّهونا. شكرٌ خاص نتوّجه به إلى دارّين ماركوس الذي قام بالترجمة الى الإنكليزية والى تاليا رحمة لترجماتها إلى العربية. بفضل مساهمتهما، باتت المدونة اليوم متوفرة بثلاث لغات.
ليست نهاية المطاف !
أما المرحلة التالية من عملنا فهي خلال كانون الأول – ديسبمر أو كانون الثاني – يناير القادمين، بعدها سوف نكرّس أنفسنا للتركيز على عملية ما بعد الإنتاج. كما أن ليباليل ما زال في طور البحث عن شركاء لتمويل فترة ال post-production إضافة الى توفير التجهيزات التقنية والمساعدة في نشر وعرض الوثائقي-الويب.
