A 17h.....Un formidable Chuck Berry, Frankie Lymon and the Teenagers, un moment de rockabilly classique avec le mythique Johnny Burnette et son Rock and Roll Trio, The Platters...ces artistes ne sont que quelques-uns de ces moments de grâce musicale sinon cinéphilique que nous pouvons revoir enfin sur grand écran, plutôt que sur la paroi de verre de notre ordinateur...

Rock Around The Clock nous permet de nous souvenir de celui qui a vraiment déclenché le feu du rock and roll, avant même le (futur) King Elvis. Et au-delà des décennies et des modes, ce beat reste hypnotique et fascinant, créé dans le Pythian Temple de New York, et entrant ici par la grande porte dans Hollywood, après la première consécration obtenue par Bill et ses Comets, audibles au générique de Blackboard Jungle l'année précédente...musique qui fut l'élément déclencheur du vaste mouvement de rock and roll Même si celui-ci existait déjà depuis un bon moment....mais en dehors de quelques contrées etatsunisiennes, il n'était pas bien vu...jusqu'à l'arrivée de "chick Bill"..
