Extraits de concerts de la tournée "Johnny The Fox" à l'Hammersmith Odeon en novembre 1976 (Rosalie-Cowgirl's song-Johnny the fox meets Jimmy the weed-Suicide-Sha la la-Baby drives me crazy-The rocker) d'un concert à Philadelphis en octobre 1977 (le reste) et d'un extrait du concert au Rainbow de Londres (Are you ready) en mars 1978.
"Live & Dangerous", largement réenregistré en studio, reste pourtant un très grand live, montrant Thin Lizzy au top avec sa formation classique et offrant souvent de meilleures versions que celles figurant sur les albums.
"Rosalie" version live sort en single et monte à la 20e place des charts anglais.
Après deux concerts sold out à L'Hammersmith Odeon de Londres en août 1978, Brian Robertson quitte Thin Lizzy, cette fois-ci définitivement.
Gary Moore, encore une fois, le remplace au pied levé, minimisant les dégâts causés par le départ de Robertson.
Thin Lizzy démarre une tournée Australienne, sans Downey, fatigué, remplacé temporairement par Mark Nauseef (Elf-Velvet Underground-Gillan).
Un album et un DVD live ont été publiés en 1999 avec cette formation (Boys Are Back In Town : Live In Australia).
Thin Lizzy ayant récupéré son batteur, entre bientôt en studio pour y produire son album le plus populaire .
