Septembre 1973, les choses se précisent pour le groupe avec un fabuleux troisième album : “Vagabonds Of The Western World”, produit par Nick Tauber.

Un superbe album qui voit Thin Lizzy se tourner vers un hard rock couillu (l'excitant “Mama nature said” reste d’ailleurs l’un de mes titres favoris).

Le groupe écrit ici ses premiers classiques dont “Vagabond of the western world” et “The rocker” qui sort en single sans plus de succès que l’album dont il est issu, malheureusement.

Fatigué des tournées incessantes et du stress lié au succès grandissant du groupe, Eric Bell quitte Thin Lizzy à la fin de l’année.

Phil Lynott appelle alors son vieux copain de Skidrow, Gary Moore, qui s’intègre parfaitement au groupe.
