Ticker Taylor Soldier Spy. Titre français "La taupe" Programmé à la Mostra de Venise la semaine dernière, ce film est le thriller parfait...Cependant, ce long-mètrage d'espionnage dont l'action se situe dans la période "d'après "Guerre froide" des années 70, ne ressemble en rien aux James Bond et consorts. Tomas Afredson (Let The right one IN) se concentre plutôt sur les coulisses de "L'Intelligence service " et plutôt que de jouer dans la cour des action movies, il se concentre sur les relations des différents protagonistes, et la recherche d'une Taupe au sein des Services Secrets...
De Budapest à Londres en passant par Istanbul, George Smiley (Gary Oldman) maître-espion du MI16 et figure centrale mais plutôt anti-héros, va devoir se remettre au travail pour débusquer une «taupe» soviétique, alors qu’il s’apprête à prendre sa retraite. Adapté du roman de John LeCarré.

Brèves, ce film a déjà été l'objet d'une adaptation télévisée en 1970, avec Alec Guinness dans le rôle principal.
Et toutes les affiches sont superbes.

Amongst a stellar cast, Gary Oldman, in his first leading role for over 15 years, plays George Smiley, an intelligence officer brought out of forced retirement to hunt down a Soviet mole.
