Ancien reporter de guerre et documentariste, Peter Kosminsky aime traiter les sujets sensibles et polémiques en lien avec l'actualité géopolitique (guerres en Bosnie et en Irak, terrorisme en Grande-Bretagne). Après un gros travail de recherches effectué sur huit ans (documents audios, historiens, journaux intimes, lettres, rapports militaires, repérages, témoignages, etc.), il signe avec "Le Serment" une très intéressante série de 4 épisodes de 90 minutes sur la création de l’État d'Israël. Intelligemment construit sur un montage alterné entre la fin des années 40 et 2005, la mini-série aborde d'un œil critique le mandat britannique en Palestine après la Seconde Guerre Mondiale et le quotidien israëlo-palestinien actuel.

Former war reporter and documentary filmmaker, Peter Kosminsky likes to treat sensitive and controversies issues related to geopolitical news (wars in Bosnia and Iraq, terrorism in Great Britain). After a lots of researches conducted over eight years (audio documents, diaries, historians, letters, locations, military reports, testimonials, etc..), he signed with "The Promise" a very interesting serie of 4 episodes of 90 minutes about the creation of the State of Israel. Cleverly constructed on an alternating editing between the late '40s and 2005, the mini-serie approaches with a critical eye the British Mandate in Palestine after the Second World War and the present Israeli-Palestinian everyday life.
