En bêta depuis l’année dernière, le MMO STR option navigateur web de Phenomic et Electronic Arts vient de quitter la phase de test pour être officiellement ouvert à tous. Comme son nom l’indique, Lord of Ultima prend pour décor le monde d’Ultima, bien connu des vétérans du RPG sur PC. Toutefois, il ne s’agit pas ici de retourner en Britannia, mais plutôt d’aller se tailler un empire sur le continent perdu de Caledonia. Ceux espérant retrouver la magie des anciens jeux de la série, voire du MMORPG Ultima Online, seront probablement déçus. Lord of Ultima est avant tout inspiré de la série Settlers. De plus, il s’agit aussi d’un Free to play, Electronic Arts s’appuyant pour l’occasion sur la plateforme de Big Point, spécialiste dans ce domaine en pleine croissance, pour élargir l’univers d’Ultima.
