Pour l’été 2011, la Fédération Française de la Couture avait inscrit trois nouveaux entrants à son calendrier, trois frenchies au style bien marqué, au parcours passionnant, trois frenchies à suivre. Ajoutés à Quentin Véron, voici quatre shows, un gang of four composé de quatre garçons dans le vent, censés donner un peu de vavavoum à notre chère dame Couture.
For summer 2011, the French Federation of Couture had registered three new entrants to its schedule. So with Quentin Véron, it was a Gang of Four frenchies to follow. Four supposed to give a little vavavoum to the Couture.
On retrouve chez Alexandre Vauhtier ces volumes d’épaule, outrés, très mugleriens (il a passé quatre ans d’apprentissage chez Thierry Mugler).
Very Mugler (he spent four years learning from Thierry Mugler) but not exactly the same, Alexander Vauhtier’s outraged shoulder are everywhere.

Les décolletés sont plongeants et vertigineux sur ces femmes-femelles et fatales. Le créateur imagine une femme très power woman, s’inspirant du passé, en créant un style néo-40 ou néo-80 (tout dépendant de votre point de vue), pour mieux se projeter vers l’avant et créer une Gilda moderne.
Plunging and vertigo necklines on a femme fatale… Alexandre Vauhtier design a power woman, inspired by the past, creating a neo 40′ or a neo 80′ silhouette (depends of your point of view), to make a better moving forward and create a modern Gilda.
J’aime beaucoup les oppositions de matières. Ici l’organdi transparent souligne les hanches, les jambes, appuie sur la taille, révèle la poitrine. Certes çà grimace un peu partout, çà tiraille, c’est tendu. Les matières (ou le corps?) se rebellent.
I love the contrast of fabrics. Transparent organdy reveals the hips, the legs, the waist. It’s tight ! Sometimes too tight, but we love it that way ! There is a riot going on !
Et d’un bout à l’autre, après avoir créé une collection capsule abordable pour les 3 Suisses, Alexandre Vauthier crée pour la Couture. L’or, ostentatoire, très présent, nous rappelle que la crise est derrière nous. En forme de teaser, le modèle ci-dessus est plein de promesses, on dévoile un peu mais on reserve le reste.
After creating an affordable capsule collection for Les 3 Suisses, Alexandre Vauthier is now creating for Couture. The gold, very present, remind us that the crisis is behind us. In a sort of a teaser, the above model is promising, it reveals a bit but reserve the rest.
On attend alors avec impatience la suite et la révélation.
