Absolut noise is five years old!

Today, Absolut Noise is 5 years old. It is quite old for a blog that publishes a post every two or three days. Scoop: soon, you're gonna be very surprised, because there will be a MAJOR change in this blog... stay tuned.
Anyway, to celebrate this birthday, I needed to mention a brilliant artist and to tell you a secret. So, here is my coming out: yes, I'm a French heterosxual guy. It seems anecdotal, but that might explain why I love female singers so much. Good news: there are plenty of female singers within the Swedish music scene. Bad news: most of them remind a little bit too much Stina Nordenstam (I will not give you names, though, I'm a gentleman...).
Katharina Nuttall has nothing to do with Stina Nordenstam. Katharina Nuttall has a bewitching and deep voice. Katharina Nuttall rocks. At least on Turn me on, first single of her absolutely brilliant third album that will be released on March the 23rd. If the rest of the album is slower (and features a stunning Depeche Mode's Stripped cover that evoques the way Johnny Cash covered Nine Inch Nails' Hurt), this Turn me on that opens the record is tensed and sharp as a PJ Harvey tune.
Katharina is supposed to be known for her work as a producer (with Ane Brun, for instance) and is not a "new" artist, but I confess I have not heard about her before her label Novoton gave me a hint. I have spent the last week listening to her record. It is one of the best I heard since the beginning of 2011. See you for its release in March, then.

Aujourd'hui, Absolut Noise fête ses 5 ans. C'est plutôt vieux pour un blog qui publie tous les deux ou trois jours. Scoop : bientôt, vous allez être franchement surpris, parce qu'un changement MAJEUR va survenir dans ce blog... vous verrez.
Bon, pour fêter cet anniversaire, j'avais besoin d'évoquer un excellent artiste et de vous confier un secret. Allons-y, voilà mon coming-out : oui, je suis un mec hétérosexuel. Cela semble anecdotique, mais ça pourrait expliquer la raison pour laquelle j'aime autant les artistes féminines. Bonne nouvelle : la Suède en compte beaucoup. Mauvaise nouvelle : la plupart d'entre elles évoque un peu trop Stina Nordenstam (je ne vous donnerai pas de nom cependant, je suis un gentleman...).
Katharina Nuttall n'a rien à voir avec Stina Nordenstam. Katharina Nuttall possède une voix profonde et mystérieuse. Katharina Nuttall rocks. Tout du moins sur Turn me on, premier single de son excellent troisième album qui sortira le 23 mars prochain. Si le reste du disque est plus posé (y figure notamment une impressionnante reprise du Stripped de Depeche Mode, qui n'est pas sans rappeler la façon dont Johnny Cash reprit le Hurt de Nine Inch Nails), ce Turn me on ouvre le disque avec une tension digne de PJ Harvey.
Katharina est censée être réputée pour son travail de productrice (avec Ane Brun, par exemple) et n'est pas une nouvelle venue, mais j'avoue n'avoir entendu parler d'elle que récemment. J'ai ainsi passé la semaine dernière à écouter son album. Il s'agit d'un des meilleurs de 2011. Rendez-vous donc en mars pour la sortie du disque.
