If there is one thing I will always fight for on this website it is the diversity, the richness and the eclecticism of the electronic music. The new compilation of Robag Wruhme with an unpronounceable name “Wuppdeckmischmampflow” is the perfect example. Thanks to Kompakt Recordings, we received two copies of this mix CD that you can win. Nothing easier, first you need to become fan of Actualités Electroniques and then you need to like this Facebook post. I will decide before the end of January who are the winners. In the comforting seclusion of the Spreewald, a vast forest area south of Berlin, somewhere along the famous 250km long Gherkin-Bicyclepath, a man from Thuringia found a home with a pig. This was where he wanted to rest. He just wanted to rest, daydream, eat gherkins and possibly drink a glass of good wine here and then. And so it was. He rented the house, hung out eating gherkins with the pig and let it all hang out. He couldn't care less about everything else. But then something happened... he was kissed by The Muses and recorded a mix CD.

This man is called Gabor Schablitzki, better known as Robag Wruhme, ½ Wighnomy Bros, Themroc, Machiste, Rolf Oksen or even as Die Dub Rolle. His discography is as stunning as the list of his DJ appearances. He has notably a historic lineage of mixes for Kompakt by the likes of Tobias Thomas, Superpitcher, DJ Koze, Michael Mayer and Ewan Pearson. There's not a soul with the slightest interest in electronic music who has ever danced to a track by this extraordinarily gifted producer. He's one of the few that truly created his own signature sound. A Robag track is a Robag track.

Likewise, as a DJ he hardly manages to hide his genius. This swinging sexiness of his own productions serves as a framework for his otherwise rather eclectic universe in which Thom Yorke and Germany's most cranky comedian Helge Schneider talk the same language, where con amore jazz buddies with thumping techno. Robag's trademark is his excessive use of reverb effects. Like black holes they suck in and spit out the most varied influences. It's a kind of magic.

"Wuppdeckmischmampflow" is Robag Wruhme's latest mix CD and could be considered as an immaculate conception. It was crafted incidentally between feeding the pig and unscrewing gherkin glasses, so to say. Far away from the hectic turmoil of clubs and airports, he began toying around with his favourite tracks and songs. It turned out as a very intimate, wonderful piece of music that Robag needed to share with us. It's boom time for the bespoke reverb effects. He gingerly interweaves music by Moderat, Four Tet, Ricardo Villalobos, Whomadewho, Danny Norbury, Trentemöller and Tiefschwarz into a greater ONE.

After hearing all the album, I must confess that I never imagined such a large range of good and various tracks of electronic music in a CD. It begins by the crying violins of Danny Norbury, followed notably by the charming track of Ricardo Villabos with a killing beat (let’s say as usual!). What is incredible is the touch of Robag who adds his personal feeling in each part of the compositions. It’s a good musical mixture, with great elements from Tiefschwarz, but also Chateau Flight and even Moderat. The track from Chateau Flight “Cosmic Race” reworked by Robag is certainly the best track of the album, with funky samples that sound like a thin guitar. There is also, in the same atmosphere the lovely track of Four Tet, with a female looped voice that will tease your senses exactly like “Robellada” from Robag Wruhme himself.

What a fantastic musical trip! "Wuppdeckmischmampflow" became an honest, touching, life enhancing affair. And you have a chance to win the album for free, so don’t hesitate to participate. Cette compilation de Robag Wruhme avec un nom imprononçable "Wuppdeckmischmampflow" en est la concrétisation symbolique. Grâce au label allemand Kompakt Recordings, nous avons reçu deux exemplaires de ce CD mixé, que vous pouvez gagner. Rien de plus facile. C'est là qu'il voulait s’arrêter. Il désirait simplement se reposer, rêver, manger des cornichons et boire un verre un bon verre de vin. Et ce fut ainsi. Il a loué la maison, a accroché ses cornichons avec les cochons et a profité de la vie. Il se moque de tout. Mais quelque chose s'est passé... il a été embrassé par les Muses et a enregistré un CD mixé.

Cet homme s'appelle Gabor Schablitzki, mais mieux connu sous les noms de Robag Wruhme, moitié de Wighnomy Bros Themroc, Machiste, Rolf Oksen ou encore Die Dub Rolle. Sa discographie est aussi étonnante que la liste de ses apparitions en soirées en tant que DJ. Il a notamment une lignée historique de remixes pour Kompakt que ce soit pour Tobias Thomas, Superpitcher, DJ Koze, Michael Mayer et Ewan Pearson. Il n'y a pas une âme avec le moindre intérêt pour la musique électronique qui n’a jamais dansé sur une piste de ce producteur de génie. Il est l'un des rares à avoir su créer son propre univers bien défini. Une piste de Robag est une piste de Robag.

De même, en tant que DJ, il parvient difficilement à cacher son génie. Le côté sexy et dansant de ses propres productions sert de repère pour un univers assez éclectique dans lequel Thom Yorke et le plus grincheux des humoristes allemand Helge Schneider parler le même langage, avec une rencontre improbable de jazz et de beats techno. La marque de fabrique de l’artiste allemand est son usage excessif de l’effet reverb. Comme les trous noirs, il aspire et recrache ses influences les plus diverses. C'est une sorte de magie qui opère peu à peu tout au long de la compilation.

"Wuppdeckmischmampflow" est un CD mixé par Robag Wruhme et pourrait être considérée comme l’immaculée conception. Elle a été fabriquée accidentellement entre les déjeuners du porc et le dévissage des pots de cornichons. Loin de l'agitation frénétique des clubs et des aéroports, il a commencé à jouer ses morceaux favoris. Il s'est avéré que cela a donné une magnifique pièce musicale intime, que Robag a eu besoin de partager. Il est temps que les effets de réverbération parlent. Robag tisse ainsi délicatement des morceaux de Moderat, Four Tet, Ricardo Villalobos, WhoMadeWho, Danny Norbury, Trentemoller et Tiefschwarz pour en faire une tapisserie unique et incomparable.

Après avoir écouté l’album, on se rend compte à quel point la musique électronique est riche et qu’il est possible de rassembler sur un même album une diversité musicale tout à fait cohérente. On commence avec les violons plaintifs de Danny Norbury, suivi notamment par le track charmant de Ricardo Villabos avec un beat mortel (comme à son habitude!). Ce qui est incroyable et unique est la touche que Robag ajoute à chacune des pistes, avec un sentiment personnel. C'est un excellent mélange de musique électronique, entre les sons de Tiefschwarz, de Chateau Flight et même Moderat. La piste de Chateau Flight "Cosmic Race" retravaillée par Robag est certainement la meilleur de l’album, avec des samples funky qui sonnent comme une guitare pincée. Il y a aussi, dans la même atmosphère la sublime piste de Four Tet, avec une voix féminine bouclée qui taquinera vos sens, tout comme "Robellada" de Robag Wruhme lui même.

Quel fantastique voyage musical! "Wuppdeckmischmampflow" est un album vrai, touchant et saisissant.
