My latest post was dedicated to the new Samuraj Cities song Next Station. This one is about half Samuraj Cities. Yes, sometimes Samuraj Jonathan is called Doe and he sings with Frida. Make no mistake though, Frida and Doe sound very different than SC. It is a brand new duo and you can download their first tunes here. All of me is my favourite. To sum it up in one word: beautiful.
The good thing with Frida and Doe is that they manage to sound sweet without being too mellow. Because, you know - even if you will never admit it - usually, this kind of band makes beautiful music but it's soooo... boring! F&D are not. If you ask me, I will describe them as a wild feather.
Pour mes compatriotes français
Mon dernier billet était dédié à la nouvelle chanson des Samuraj Cities Next Station. Celui-ci traite d'une moitié des Samuraj Cities. Oui, parfois le Samuraj Jonathan s'appelle Doe et il chante avec Frida. Ne vous y trompez pas cependant : les chansons de Frida and Doe n'évoquent en rien SC. Il s'agit en fait d'un tout nouveau duo dont les premiers morceaux sont téléchargeables gratuitement ici. All of me est mon préféré. Pour résumer en un mot : magnifique.
Le truc sympa avec Frida and Doe c'est qu'ils parviennent à composer un son doux mais jamais trop suave. Parce qu'entre nous - même si vous oserez jamais l'avouer - la plupart de ces groupes qui chantent de douces chansons sont telleeeeeeement... ennuyeux ! F&D non. Ils me font penser à une plume sauvage.
