Il y a quelques mois Philou m’a demandé si j’étais intéressée par l’organisation d’un weekend pour des blogueurs. Très vite, Marion s’est jointe à nous et nous nous sommes attelés à la préparation de ce weekend. Je suis vraiment contente d’avoir trouvé ce gîte. Philou et moi sommes allés visiter et nous sommes tombés sous le charme du panorama du gîte !!!
Tout doucement, quelques semaines plus tard après deux visites à Liège et deux à Bruxelles, nous étions presque prêts avec les préparations. Nous voulions créer une atmosphère simple, douillette, amicale, joviale, chaleureuse. Grâce aux participants nous avons eu plus que ça !
Vendredi, chacun apporté à manger et à boire et il y avait beaucoup trop allant des fromages, aux pains, aux verrines et autres plats. C’était vraiment une vitrine à toutes les spécialités personnelles et régionales.
Le lendemain nous sommes allés visiter une brasserie, une distillerie, le chocolatier Benoît Nihant et à la fêtes des confréries gastronomiques. Le troisième jour, on a tous préparé un repas liégeois…
Le weekend s’est très bien déroulé – il n’y a pas besoin d’en dire beaucoup, regardez les photos pour vous en rende compte….
A few months ago Philou asked me if I was interested in organizing a weekend in Liege for bloggers. Soon, Marion was interested too and we set off to the organization of this weekend. I was glad to have found this rural self catering cottage. Philou and I went for a site visit and we were immediately hooked by the wonderful panorama that one of the cottages had!
Slowly, weeks later and two visits from each city to Liege and to Brussels and we were almost ready with the arrangements. We wanted a simple, cosy, friendly, hearty, jovial and warm weekend! Thanks to the participants, we had that and much more!!!
On the Friday evening, we had a potluck and as usual there was loads of wonderful food, from cheeses to breads to verrines and other dishes as well as wines and other drinks, all the participants made the most of occasion to showcase personal and regional specialities!
The next day we went to visit a beer brewery, a distillery (making Peket – the speciality alcohol of Liege), the chocolatier, Benoît Nihant and to the festival of gastronomic brotherhood societies! On the third day, we made a typical Liege-style menu.
