Track / John Dahlback and Albin Myers - Light of day

English John Dahlback and Albin Myers have just released "Light of day", a good electro production. If I have considered John Dahlback during a long time as one of the best producers of his generation, his latest productions including the track « Don’t hold back » done with Avicii and that we reviewed, have tended to disappoint me! His last track worked with Albin Myers is unfortunately in this continuity, based on electro sounds too mainstream. The track has already been released on Beatport as a digital version, and has been pressed under the new swedish label Mutant Records.  John Dahlback and Albin Myers - Light of day The new track co-produced with Swedish DJ Albin Myers, is riding on the electro progressive wave that we heard too much these recent days. If I'm not accustomed to write this kind of review rather negative, I wanted to share with you my disappointment with the musical direction taken by one of my favorite Swedish DJs. Long time considered by many as the best Swedish DJ before the Swedish House Mafia, I remain nostalgic of tracks like "Blink", "Borderline" or "Nothing Is For Real". While the track is clean and efficient, it tends nevertheless rapidly to simple sounds where the preferred style of John Dahlback is diluted in more traditional rhythms. John wakes up! I'm sure he can provide us in the future his best and his upcoming productions « Farao » and &« Sfinx » that will be released on September 29th, will reassure us I hope. According to the track he broadcast on his Soundcloud account, the real John Dahlback is back. Si j’ai pendant longtemps considéré John Dahlback comme l’un des meilleurs producteurs de sa génération, ses dernières productions dont le track « Don’t hold back » réalisé avec Avicii et que nous avions chroniqué, ont eu tendance à me décevoir. Son dernier track bossé avec Albin Myers est malheureusement dans cette continuité, à base d’électro trop mainstream. Le titre sorti déjà en version digitale sur Beatport, a été pressé sous le nouveau label du suédois : Mutants Records.  John Dahlback and Albin Myers - Light of day La nouvelle production co-produite avec le DJ suédois Albin Myers surfe sur une vague électro progressive déjà bien trop entendue à notre goût. Si je n’ai pas l’habitude de ce type de chronique plutôt négative, je souhaitais vous partager ma déception quant au virage musical pris par l’un de mes DJs suédois préférés. Longtemps considéré par beaucoup comme le meilleur DJ suédois devant la Swedish House Mafia, je reste nostalgique des titres comme « Blink », « Borderline » ou encore « Nothing is for real ». Certes le track se veut propre et efficace, mais il tend rapidement vers des sonorités simples où le style de prédilection de John Dahlback se dilue dans des rythmes plus classiques. John réveille toi ! Balance nous du gros son comme tu sais si bien le faire ! Je suis sûr que John nous réserve le meilleur à venir, et ses prochaines productions « Farao » et &« Sfinx » qui sortiront le 29 Septembre nous rassurerons je l’espère. En tout cas, les extraits présents sur son Soundcloud nous laissent présager du meilleur. Ouf !
