Are Argentinian wines, evoked yesterday on my blog, appropriate with Indonesian gastronomy ??
Probably in view of the variety of the traditional dishes featured on the series of stamps below, issued on July 6, 2010. These seven stamps (+ 1 vignette) are the seventh part issued on this topic by the Indonesian Post since 2004.
Thank you very much Irene for this beautiful stamp souvenir with FDC cancellations from Bandung :-)
Bon appétit !
The traditional Indonesian dishes featured above are typical of 7 among the 33 Provinces of the country : West Sulawesi (shrimp and coconut soup), Bengkulu on Sumatra Island (beef ribs with curry), East Kalimantan (chicken with Cincane sauce), Jambi on Sumatra Island (grilled shrimps with sweet and sour sauce), Bangka Belitung on Sumatra Island (Lempah Kuning, a dish made of fish and herbs), Riau on Sumatra Island (dish made of Bagridae Family's fish) and North Maluku (Lapis Palaro, a dish made of beef and red peppers).
Bon appetit !
