Summer hike with friends at Mt Rainier
Notre dernière rando avant le départ et pour profiter des températures et du beau soleil qu’on a eu tant de mal a avoir! Nous sommes partis découvrir un autre cote du MT Rainier que nous avons le plaisir de voir tous les jours maintenant avec le beau et des températures super agréables dans les 27 degrés.
Our last hike before our departure in order to enjoy the temperatures and the sun that was so hard and so long to come. We went to discover an other side of Mt Rainier that we are able to see every day now because of the sun and the mild temp in the 80’s.
La rando a Tipsoo Lake- Naches avait l’air super: prairie en fleurs, lac et vues du Mont. Et bien a notre grande surprise c’est la NEIGE qui nous attendez!!Qui aurait dit?
The Tipsoo Lake- Naches hike looked great: meadows in flowers, lake and Mt Rainier’s views!To our suprise the SNOW was waiting for us!Who would have thought, it was slowly melting but not quite enough I guess!
Cela ne nous a pas empêché de piqueniquer comme prévu, une table était a moitie découverte et nous étions bien au frais!
It didn’t forbid us to have lunch there, on the single table that was not too buried under the snow.
Au lieu de notre rando, nous sommes partis sur Sunrise le plus haut point de Rainier qui culmine a 1950 mètres. De la nous avons tout de même faire une mini rando car la neige avait un peu fondu. Nous avons vu:
Instead of hiking there, we headed off to Sunrise, the highest point at 6 400 feet high. We were able to hike a little and we got to see:
le centre d’information/ the information center
les premières fleurs/ the first flowers as white as the snow around
une vue sur les montagnes entourant Rainier/ a view of mountains surrounding Rainier
le Mt lui-même/ Rainier itself
et des chipmuks qui cherchaient de la nourriture partout/ a few chipmunks forraging
