Thank you very much Stéphane for these two very interesting philatelic souvenirs mailed from the post office located at the foot (south pillar) of our famous Eiffel Tower !
This post office, previously located on the 1st floor of the tower, has been transferred (in 2009 ?) at ground level maybe in order to attract more tourists...
Stéphane has used below a Postal Stationery part of a very nice series "Paris with the flow" of five envelopes, pre-stamped with one of the two stamps of the souvenir sheet "Garden of France" issued in 2004.
This stamp is devoted to the Tuileries garden in Paris, located between the Louvre Museum and Place de la Concorde and its famous obelisk. The Arc de Triomphe is also included in the background, at the end of the Avenue des Champs-Elysees.
As indicated in the lower left, this Postal Stationery is valid for priority mail (up to 20g) to France and the world.
The special postmark from the post office of the Eiffel Tower was applied on it. It allows you to locate the tower in Paris, but I wonder about the meaning of the 15 stars ??
To commemorate the 120th anniversary of the Eiffel Tower in 2009, a special LISA ATM stamp is proposed (since June 19, 2009) to visitors at this same post office. An example above (priority domestic postal rate) with two evocations of the tower but also some gilded bronze statues (on the right) located on the Human Rights Square of the Palais de Chaillot not far from there.
Once again, these two documents were unfortunately sabotaged by the French Post during their passage to the Mail Platform of Paris Bonvin (Code 38296A) on June 11, 2010... what a pity :-(
