Résumé des nouvelles mises à jour disponibles. Optimisations diverses pour Kharkov 1943 ainsi que Empires of Steel, rééquilibrage et élimination de bugs pour Gratuitous Space Battles, amélioration du gameplay (en multi) et ajout de cartes pour Men of War.

Men of War

The new 1.17.5 patch brings much needed bug fixes as well as other important gameplay tweaks. Among the fixes included in the patch is the elimination of the Sherman “Jumbo” bug, as well as a fix for the lobby hang time after exiting from a game. Additionally, the patch brings a host of new multiplayer map for players to enjoy!

Empires of Steel

Notable Changes:

- Players can now start the game with 1-4 cities on random maps
- Players can now play without resources. This option is in the Game-setup window under « Rules Modifiers ».
- Fixed a display bug with the map-settings window – wasn’t showing the correct city/resource densities
- Aircraft on carriers, and missiles inside ships/missile launchers can be sentried
- Added an ‘enemies defeated’ column to the National Summary / Units table
- Added a ‘City Improvements’ tab to the National Summary
- Artillery sentried inside cities will attack enemy units if they are within range
- Fixed bugs with the PBEM system – including sending messages, trade agreements
- Fixed bug: the game wasn’t remembering the player’s default name if you used a foreign language
- Adjusted the AI so he isn’t creating so many transports
- Ability to setup AI-vs-AI games. [Edit: forgot to add this to the list]

Also, you *might* get a validation error when you try to update. There is a caching problem on the server (it sometimes serves up old data). If you happen to run into this problem, it should be automatically cleared up soon.

1. INSTALL

1) Unpack archive.
1) Run kharkov_patch_v516e.exe to update core game files to 5.16.
2) Click ( ? ) in main game menu.
3) In the updater window, click « Install ».
4) In the unpacked folder select desc.addpack in ‘CORE_EN’ for English
update, ‘CORE_DE’ for German update.
5) Click « Save and play ».

1) Targets visible to a selected unit or vehicle are now highlighted.
2) Grenades’ interaction algorithm with tree branches has been
modified.
3) Detachments’ visibility indication algorithm has been modified.
4) Default camera position [Num+5] setup logic has been modified. Now
the camera rotates north.
5) Aircrafts’ actions algorithm has been corrected.
6) Wehrmacht operations have been modified.
7) Some minor improvements and fixes have been implemented.
8) Czech soldiers names updated for more historical accuracy.

Attention! The patch requires DirectX February 2010 update to function correctly. Please update your DirectX version from here.

Gratuitous Space Battles

Patch 1.37. Updates to Gratuitous Space Battles have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The major changes include:

  • Bug Fix: Limpet launcher UI no longer shows it tracking targets and firing if all mines are currently launched.
  • Bug Fix: Limpet launchers no longer draw if cloaked.
  • Usability: Ship icons on the deployment screen now list their speed and cost in the mouseover tooltips.
  • Usability: The post challenge button greys out once you have actually submitted the challenge
  • New Feature: New option after a challenge victory to retaliate with the fleet you just won with.
  • Usability: The ‘go to fleet hq’ button isn’t an option any more for the outcome window during challenges, when you don’t earn honor anyway.
  • Bug Fix: Fixed bug where some fighters, depending on speed, may not be able to dock with a carrier.
  • New Feature: New ‘challenge details’ screen, complete with retaliation list and image previews.
  • New Feature: ’stick together’ order for fighters, keeps them clustered in squadrons.
  • Bug Fix: Intel GMA 450 video cards now correctly default to software processing and don’t crash on startup
  • Bug Fix: The ship design screen now correctly calculates armor resistance, which was previously wrong!
