La critique de Borat

Issue du premier album éponyme du groupe, Clint Eastwood est le premier clip de Gorillaz. Un groupe très spécial, vu qu'il est représenté par 4 personnages virtuels.
Ces derniers sont 2D, le chanteur, adolescent victime de plusieurs accidents à la tête et largué par sa petite copine; Murdoc, le bassiste, bête de sexe en puissance (c'est à cause de lui que 2D a perdu sa copine, et participe souvent à des orgies) et satanique de première.
Russel, le batteur, homme noir possédé par un démon dans son enfance et souvent par des amis depuis. Et enfin Noodle, la guitariste, japonaise trouvée dans un colis Fedex (si,si...) avec une guitare et qui ne sait dire que nouille en anglais (d'ou son surnom).

Des personnages atypiques et sacrément déjantés, crée par Damon Albarn, chanteur du groupe Blur, et Jamie Helwett, dessinateur de Tank Girl.
Le premier s'occupe des chansons et le second de l'aspect visuel, bénéfique à des clips totalement splendides. Clint Eastwood commence simplement avec nos 4 larrons, quand débarque le rappeur Del, fantôme bleu, prenant possession du corps de Russel.

Tout à coup, sortent des gorilles morts vivants, dansant sur une chorégraphie, et semblent sortis tout droit de Thriller de John Landis. Le tout dans un cimetière.
Un hommage aux films de zombies, bien fait. On pourra cependant reprocher certains ralentis un peu pénibles (souvent 2 successifs), mais le clip, tout comme la chanson, est splendide. Premier grand clip d'un sacré groupe.
