Pierrick Fédrigo a remporté la 1ère étape du Critérium International.
Superbe victoire de Pierrick Fédrigo. Le coureur français a attaqué à deux kilomètres de l’arrivée au sommet du col de l’Ospedale pour s’imposer en solitaire, devant tous les favoris. Alberto Contador a craqué au même moment. Lance Armstrong, lui, avait lâché prise encore plus tôt.
