German rail operator Deutsche Bahn AG has become the sixth and final national sponsor of the Fifa Women's World Cup 2011 in Germany in a deal worth just under US$5.5 million. In addition to its sponsorship of the event, Deutsche Bahn will offer transport logistical advice to the local organising committee, as they did for the men's 2006 Fifa World Cup which was also held in Germany. It will also support a range of events around the tournament aimed at involving young people in soccer. [Via]
