Playstation achète Media Molecule

Le vice président de Worldwide Studios annonce aujourd’hui que Media Molecule rejoint la famille Playstation. Après avoir édité LittleBigPlanet qui a été un vrai succès en devenant l’un des jeux les plus vendus sur PS3, Sony Computer Entertainment achète entièrement le studio. Cela permettra de garder les exclusivités des titres à venir , bien sur derrière cette transaction se cache une somme d’argent non dévoilée.

Voici le communiqué officiel de la part du vice président ainsi que la liste des prix de LittleBigPlanet sur lequel c’est basé Sony pour faire son achat :

Cette acquisition permettra d’améliorer le bassin de talents au sein de SCE, à protéger les investissements passés et actuels et de s’assurer une base solide pour de futurs investissements. Media Molecule ont des projets excitants en préparation et nous avons hâte de les partager avec vous dans un avenir pas trop lointain.

La chose la plus importante est que rien ne va changer de votre côté; Media Molecule va simplement continuer à faire de grands jeux. Accueillir Media Molecule dans la famille PlayStation nous permettra de mieux soutenir leurs futurs titres et leurs ambitions.

Au cas où vous vous demanderiez encore pourquoi nous avons acheté un développeur qui a un seul jeu à son actif, permettez-moi de vous présenter la liste des prix qui leur ont été décerné et de leurs réalisations. Je suis sûr que vous conviendrez que c’est une liste enviable.
