The third winter storm is coming toward us. Well in fact, we're already in it, since it started to snow this afternoon. I'm amusing myself by looking at the map on weather.com. Indeed you can see how the mountains block the progress of the rain. The mountain area being colder, the rain stopped, turning into ice and snow yes, but the system is seriously slowed down. You can pinpoint the mountain location just by looking at where the rain stops (green=rain, pink=icy mix, blue=snow). We're in weather alert until 6pm tomorrow.
