Blondie - CBGB's 1976
David Godlis est un photographe américain basé à New York qui a commencé à prendre des photos au club mythique CBGB's en 1976.
Influencé par les travaux de Diane Arbus, Brassai, Weegee et Walker Evans, Godlis, équipé d'un Leica 35mm, photographia (sans utiliser de flash) la scène Punk Rock Underground New Yorkaise du CBGB tous les soirs pendant trois ans:
Les Ramones, Blondie, Television, les Cramps, Patti Smith, Les Talking Heads et bien d'autres...
New York based photographer David Godlis began photographing at CBGB’s in 1976.
Influenced by Diane Arbus, Weegee, Brassai and Walker Evans, Godlis went to CBGB every night for the next three years, using a Leica 35mm camera with long, handheld exposures.
His subjects include the Ramones, Patti Smith, Television, Blondie, Talking Heads & many others.
