….Monogamous
- “I’m a free woman. I have one goal: travelling all around the world. This could be expensive, fortunately, I always find around the world people willing to host me for free. I quit my country several years ago. Since then? I’ve been leaving in so many countries…”
- “Isn’t it difficult to leave your friends and relatives?”
- “I don’t care. My freedom is my best friend. And, you know, the people I meet here and there are also travellers, so I use to meet them in other countries.”
- “Oh… and don’t you have a boyfriend somewhere?”
- “I have several boyfriends.”
- “?. Euh….around the world, probably?”
- “No here, in this city, where I arrived three months ago…”
- “Do they know about the others?”
- “They don’t know the details, but I always tell them “I’m not monogamous” and they better don’t be neither. Unfortunatelly, some are waiting for me all the time. So pathetic”.
- ……
And the question I didn’t ask….:
- “What about Love (for a country, a friend, a man, …..)?”
… A tourist
- “I love to travel around the world and see things that nobody sees. You know, I don’t need a guide book to travel.”
One hour later, in a bookshop she accepted to come with me after telling her that this is the oldest bookshop of the city, she found a book about “Everything to don’t miss in Europe”, in the pages about the country we were visiting: five pages, five ‘must do’:
Must do number one:
- “CHECKED!” She screamed.
Must do number two:
- “CHECKED!”
Must do number three:
- “CHECKED!”
Must do number four:
- “CHECKED!”
Must do number five….
- “Did I went to that place?” She said with some anxiety, “Oh my God!!!! I don’t think so… shit… let me think….. OH YES!!! CHECKED!. Yeeeeeehaaaa! I’ve done all they’re saying in the book!!!!”
You better buy a guide book…..
