An ornamental lake in the end of a warm afternoon, some round water lilies, and the nearby cypress reflections at the surface, in the middle of the sky: you are in Françoise Gérin’s garden, far away from the touristy crowd of the lovely St Rémy de Provence, in the South of France.
At the back, a big iron work panel, a Indian candle holder, that Françoise Gérin brought back from Pondichéry or from Dehli perhaps, like lot of the garden and home furniture here, but not every thing comes from far away…
… if you don’t know them yet or if you don’t recognize them, theses ginkgo leaves, theses –late- Lilly of the valley brooches or this chestnut necklace are made by “La Fille du Consul”, and you can find my creations for four years now in this quiet and lovely place.
«Elle se trouve en dehors du village, dans une maison privée. Les Gérin dénichent des meubles en Inde et font faire des vêtements sublimes pour femmes et enfants. Un summum du goût et du raffinement.» (L’express)
