Espace: la Russie créera un satellite pour l'Indonésie (SIS Rechetnev)

La société russe Systèmes informatiques satellitaires Rechetnev (SIS Rechetnev), leader russe de la création de satellites artificiels de la Terre, a remporté en décembre 2008 l'appel d'offres portant sur la création clé en mains du système géostationnaire Telcom 3 pour l'Indonésie, a annoncé la société jeudi. Le projet prévoit la conception et la mise sur orbite de l'appareil Telcom 3 qui sera doté de 32 transpondeurs en bande C et de 10 transpondeurs en bande Ku. D'une masse de 1,6 tonne, le satellite, dont la puissance sera de 5,6 kW, restera en service pendant 15 ans, précise le communiqué du constructeur. L'appareil sera construit et mise sur orbite en 2011 pour le compte de l'un des plus importants opérateurs de télécoms en Asie-Pacifique, PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk.
