The Mamas and the Papas est un groupe américain de rock originaire de Los Angeles en Californie. Le groupe est composé de John Phillips, Michelle Phillips, Denny Doherty et Cass Elliot. Le premier single " California Dreamin' " est sorti en 1965, grand succès, classé dans le top 10 des charts américains. Le groupe enchaîne ensuite avec des chansons comme " Monday, Monday " et " Dedicated to the One I Love ".
