2008 Bout du Monde festival

The 2OO8 edition of Bout du Monde festival gets at the same level as the others years. Little come back in pictures

As last year, i get in the webcover team to cover inside the festival. In order to have a great view and a qualitative work, Myriamax come to assist me in the team.

So lets begin with friday, and with the first band, the Têtes Raides, faous french scene band, celebrate this year their 20 years career and a new album.

Comes after the first great discover of the festival, Maceo Parker, a great showman in spite of his age.

Little check in the second little scene of the festival, the cabaret circus with Alela Diane, young californian girl with a great folk voice, with her father on the stage.

The satursday day start very well with two energy balls from Toulouse, the brothers Mouss & Hakim, reinterpret algerian immigration songs from 40 to 70 years.

After, i tried a little immersion in the public during Orchestra Baobab show, senegal reference.

And for finish satursday day, a little Capoeïra demonstration by Capoeïra da Boudo band.

The sunday day begins with the traditional little breakfast in the camping with two cows. The Bout du Monde farmers comes to milk the cows in a great ambiant.

And during the milking, a great musical animation.

I try during the morning to walk in the camping to get the ambiant before the come back of festival participants, here a big mikado play.

And so for finish this day in a great way, a little bomb, Shantel & Bucovina Club Orkestra. As last year with Balkan Beat Box, a real big slap, this crazy DJ melts in a really way dub, breakbeat, bossa and batucada with his balkan orchestra.

Result of the weekend very great. On the photo side, little first test of my new Manfrotto monopod, the 682B. Gets very well self standing, and not to big to shoot in difficult place, for example in the public.
The next report will be very different, new material comes, my 8mm lens will arrived soon, and a new reflex, the K20D.
